Different Day Another Delay For Obamacare

President Barack Obama has made yet another unilateral change to Obamacare, his signature legislation. Buried deep within regulatory material, it was unearthed on Tuesday by the New York Timesthat the Obama Administration is giving some insurers and employers a one-year grace period to adhere to the law's individual cap on out-of-pocket health costs, such as co-pays and deductibles.

The change means employers with more than one insurance provider could use plans with higher limits or no limit at all on out-of-pocket costs during that period. The delay was granted, according to Obama Administration officials, because employers need expensive computer upgrades are needed by track just what individuals actually spend out of pocket. However, no amount of time will reduce the expenses employees will incur when insurance premiums sharply rise due to the actual caps.

The American people rejected Obamacare by voting Democrats out of power in the House of Representatives in 2010, and the White House is desperate to avoid a similar outcome in 2014.

Between this decision and the delaying of the law's employer mandate, the Obama Administration’s actions are an admission that this monstrous law is a total failure. It is time for conservatives to unite and defund Obamacare.
