DAILY CALLER: DAVID BOSSIE: Dems Are Quickly Finding Out That Kamala’s Basement Strategy Is A Nonstarter

With a little more than a month to go until Election Day, it has become clear that Vice President Kamala Harris’ basement strategy on steroids is backfiring.

The vice president’s cadre of handlers made a horrible miscalculation when they opted to shield Harris from reality by declining unscripted media appearances and avoiding legitimate interactions with voters, who are demanding answers about the failures of the Biden-Harris administration.

The difference between Joe Biden’s basement strategy of 2020 and what Harris is currently trying to pull off is obvious. Biden managed to squeak out the election four years ago by hiding in Delaware because he was already a known quantity among wide swaths of Americans who were at least somewhat familiar with his long career in politics as vice president and as a senator.

And even with his basement strategy in full effect — along with an enormous in-kind contribution from the corrupt corporate media who deliberately failed to vet him — Biden was still only elected by a margin of 43,000 votes in three states.

This time around, the Democrat brain trust is about to go into full panic mode over keeping Harris locked away from the elements because the American people don’t know Harris the way they knew Biden. Harris has been an inconsequential vice president to put it mildly; many view her term as our nation’s “Number 2” as a total disaster across the board.

The Biden team found out early on that Vice President Harris was a liability and treated her as such. Prior to her service as the worst vice president in history, she was a radical U.S. senator from California for four years, which she used as staging platform for a failed presidential run.

Moreover, the American people have major reservations about the manner in which Harris became the Democratic presidential nominee. Harris was installed by party bosses by way of a smoke-filled backroom deal without receiving a single vote.

The nomination was yanked away from Biden with a maneuver that was undemocratic and un-American on its face. It goes without saying that if the GOP ever tried something similar, the mainstream media would have spun it as a disgraceful episode and used it as a political cudgel to help defeat the GOP candidate.

In addition to a campaign strategy that is failing in real time, Harris and Democrats are also facing voter registration problems in critical battleground states all over the country. In Pennsylvania, the Democrat registration advantage has been cut in half since 2020; Democrat registered voters are down by 295,000, while Republican registrations are up by 52,000 in the Keystone State.

This dramatic swing is much greater than Biden’s slim 81,000 vote margin in the all-important Commonwealth in 2020. And with polls showing the race for Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes in a dead heat, these registration numbers are enormously important.

These positive trends for the GOP are happening in many additional swing states. In Arizona, the GOP has 259,000 more voter registrations than Democrats, way up from their 130,000-registration lead in 2020. This jump far exceeds Biden’s miniscule 10,000 vote margin in the state in 2020. According to polls in Arizona, former President Donald Trump has been ahead of Harris and these robust voter registration numbers are more reason for optimism.

Similarly in Nevada, the Democrat voter-registration lead is down to just 19,000 compared to an 86,000-registration edge in 2020. The 2024 race in Nevada is shaping up to be decided by just a handful of votes once again, so every new registered Republican voter is an extremely positive indicator. And in North Carolina, a state Trump carried in 2020, the lead in registrations for Democrats is down by a consequential 268,000 voters compared to 2020 thanks to the power of Trump’s message. North Carolina’s 16 electoral votes are among the most coveted in the country and Republicans are working hard to keep the Tar Heel State red.

These numbers speak for themselves — and make no mistake, Democrat are keenly aware of what’s happening on the ground in these states. Compounding the problem is the fact that Harris is virtually unknown to tens of millions of voters, other than the failed record she owns due to her service as Biden’s chief advocate and policy advisor.

In the final analysis, there is a reason why the Harris campaign won’t change direction and allow their candidate to speak directly to the American people: their candidate is Kamala Harris, an incompetent, left-wing radical who lacks the confidence, leadership skills and record of accomplishment to make a successful case for why she should be trusted with the presidency.
