Deficit Spending Run Amok

The news out this morning that the FY2010 budget deficit reached $1.29 trillion shows that Washington is fundamentally broken. America cannot run trillion dollar deficits every year and remain solvent. What happened in Greece earlier this year could very well happen here in America if we do not get our fiscal house in order. American families sit around the kitchen table everyday and work out their own household budget. If these families followed the federal government’s lead they would be thrown into debtor’s prison.
