5:37 p.m.: Fiorina: “Everything sets me apart” from other GOP candidates
Carly Fiorina, former chairman and chief executive of Hewlett-Packard and the last of the political figures to meet with reporters Saturday, said “everything sets me apart” from the other possible GOP presidential candidates.
She advocates zero-based budgeting for the federal government “so that we know where our money is being spent.”

“We don’t have a clue,” she said. “We have no idea where our money is being spent.”
Fiorina also said the erosion of the economic well-being of middle-class families is real.
“People’s wages haven’t risen in a very long time. The labor participation rates are at levels not seen since 1976,” she said. “Things that used to be within the reach of middle-class families are out of reach of middle-class families – college education, for example.”
