Although it is not a perfect compromise by any means of the imagination, the agreement reached between President Obama and Congressional Republicans on the tax plan is a workable one. Today, theHouse Democrats acted like a bunch of two-year olds in how they reacted to the compromise. In a Caucus meeting, Democrats voted against the plan via voice vote. The liberals of the Caucus are all up in arms about the Death Tax and how small businesses and citizens need to be double taxed upon their deaths. It is political stunts like this that contributed to the loss of 63 Democrat held seats this past November. As Nancy Pelosi’s days come to an end as Speaker of the House, one can only hope that the shenanigans would stop. From past experience, it seems to be only wishful thinking.
