New York District Attorney Responds To CU Administrative Appeal To Freedom of Information Request

On June 7, more than a year after Citizens United filed its Freedom of Information request with the New York District Attorney’s Office, we finally received a very limited production of documents.  Citizens United is expecting another determination or update from the DA’s office on June 21, 2024. New York District Attorney Partial Determination And Document Production To CU Freedom Of Information Request:

“On May 8, 2024, your Administrative Appeal on constructive denial grounds was denied by the FOIL Appeals Officer (“AO”), and this FOIL request was remanded back to me to issue a determination within 30 days of that date, and to begin rolling production of records, if necessary, every two weeks thereafter. As the assigned Records Access Officer in connection with the above-referenced FOIL request, I have partially completed my review of potentially responsive material and am ready to make a partial determination.”
