Obama’s Union Boss Back Home at the White House Today

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka will be at the White House today with other labor leaders to meet with Vice President Joe Biden and Department of Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. It is telling that no agenda has been released for today’s meeting but I am sure the ongoing union battles in Wisconsin and other states will be discussed as the AFL-CIO has been intimately involved.

Earlier in the week the White House seemed to distance itself from the debate in Wisconsin after news that its political arm, Organizing for America, was working to mobilize protesters. But with the meetings with AFL-CIO union leaders today, it looks like the Obama Administration will be back to playing puppet master and pulling strings behind the protests.
