Radio Silence from NPR
Listening to NPR’s Morning Addition as I drove into work this morning, I was struck by the fact that they did not mention the firing of Juan Williams at all. The Washington Post had a front page story on the firing and other media outlets have been making the issue top news. I wonder if NPR’s management, which prides itself on free speech, has put out a gag order to their hosts not to talk about the firing of Juan Williams. As I said in my blog post yesterday, I hope Congress acts to defund NPR in the lame duck session, and I applaud Senator DeMint’s intention to make this happen.
