The Advocate: Vitter goes on TV to criticize health plan

WASHINGTON — Sen. David Vitter, R.-La., teamed up with the group Citizens United to launch a new “Live By Your Laws” advertising campaign to pressure members of Congress and their staff to lose their employer health insurance contributions.

The television ad and petition campaign promote the so-called Vitter “no exemption” amendment to ensure that members of Congress, their staff and the president cannot receive employer contributions when they acquire insurance through the Affordable Care Act exchanges.
