The Cagle Post: Protecting The 7th Floor
Ever since four brave Americans were killed by Islamic terrorists in Benghazi, Libya two years ago, many questions have been raised about what then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton knew before, during, and after the fact. A shocking article by former CBS News investigative reporter Sheryl Attkisson published in The Daily Signal sheds light on what Hillary Clinton and her protectors did in the days and weeks after the attack. As someone who has investigated the Clintons for years, this type of cover up is nothing new and unfortunately expected. It’s in the Clinton playbook – obstruct and cover-up.
According to Attkisson’s reporting, “Hillary Clinton confidants were part of an operation to ‘separate’ damaging documents before they were turned over to the Accountability Review Board investigating security lapses surrounding the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attacks on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya.” The story is based on an interview with Raymond Maxwell, the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State who came forward with new details. For example, an office manager told Maxwell to “go through these stacks and pull out anything that might put anybody in the [Near Eastern Affairs] front office or the ‘seventh floor’ in a bad light” – seventh floor was a code word for Hillary Clinton and her group of “principal advisors.”
It is no surprise that leading this clandestine effort was none other than Clinton’s Chief of Staff and confidant Cheryl Mills and Deputy Chief of Staff Jake Sullivan. Both have extensive history with Hillary Clinton, and Cheryl Mills worked in the Clinton Administration during the myriad of scandals. Hillary wanted to keep whatever happened the night of September 11, 2012 in Libya under wraps that is why she tapped her most trusted aides to do her dirty work. Somewhere H.R. Haldeman and John Ehrlichman would be proud.
