1.5% GDP…Is this what Obama means by “doing fine”?
It does not take a genius to figure out that we are sinking evermore into an economic abyss. Today’s Department of Commerce quarterly Gross Domestic Product report illustrates the status of the America’s weakening economy. Between the months of March and June, the U.S. has only seen an abysmal 1.5 percent growth. This is staggeringly low compared to even 2012’s first quarter report of 2 percent, and will result in an even larger stalling of American job creation. President Obama seems to think that although the U.S. economy is hitting the skids 3 years after the end of the last recession, we are doing ok. I have news for you, Mr. President, that could not be further from the truth.
President Obama is trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people. By falsely stating that the private sector is “doing fine” and that his economic plan “worked,” it is evident that our President has no understanding of what kind of fiscal mess America is in or how to get out of it. Obama is puzzlingly dismissive of American small business owners, telling them “you didn’t build that,” and determined to hurt them by raising job-killing taxes. It is nearly impossible that we will see any additional growth of the economy or lowering of the unemployment rate with such weak percentage growth. We need a President who will build up job growth, not one who tears down our job creators.
