Cagle Post: Another Strike Against Obamacare
The Republican leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives announced a victory for the American people and the conservative movement on Wednesday when they made public their plans to hold a vote to permanently defund President Obama’s biggest mistake: The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
The vote is scheduled to be held later this week and should pass with some Democrat support if the recent votes to delay the employer and individual mandates are any indication. 35 House Democrats already voted to delay Obamacare’s employer mandate and 22 voted to delay the individual mandate. Even the Democrat-supporting stalwarts at the AFL-CIO, which represents more than 12 million union workers, have called the implementation of the law “highly disruptive” and harmful to their members. So the question is why wouldn’t some logical Congressional Democrats vote to defund the entire mess?
