Cagle Post: Barack Obama’s Silly Shutdown Games

A missing child is every parent’s worst fear. It’s a terrible tragedy whenever it happens and as a parent you’re grateful knowing that law enforcement does everything in its power to recover a missing child safe and sound. So it came as a shock to all parents when we learned over the weekend that the amberalert.gov website had been taken down by the Obama Administration.

How could this happen? There are entire agencies of the government that were deemed essential and were ordered to keep working despite the shutdown. Why would the administration take down Amber Alerts? There are even other federal websites that were left up, sites that are nowhere near as essential as an Amber Alert.
