Here Come The Scare Tactics

President Obama today threatened that if a deal is not reached on the debt crisis that Social Security checks might not go out on August 3rd. This is purely political posturing intended to scare vulnerable Americans and win the PR battle in the debt negotiations.  The President has the power to make sure that Social Security, Veterans, and disability checks are sent out on schedule in the event of a debt default; there is enough money in the Treasury to pay for these benefits.

It is the reckless liberal policies of the Obama Administration that have exploded our national debt to $14 trillion. President Obama has failed the American public. The Obama Administration has known for months that August 2nd would be the deadline to get a deal done on the debt, and they have not acted with an honest hand. If debt negotiations break down and Social Security checks do not go out on August 3rd, the onus falls directly on the President himself.
