Politico: Will “Cut, Cap and Balance” work?

Citizens United signed the “Cut Cap & Balance” pledge because it is the only plan out there that deals with America’s debt crisis. America is in unchartered waters, our debt is unsustainable and future generations will suffer if we do not take concrete action now. In hard economic times American families cut, cap, and balance their own budgets at home. It is time for the federal government to follow suit.

President Obama came to Washington on a promise to change the status quo. Under Obama’s stewardship our national debt has gone up $4 trillion. When the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, Admiral Michael Mullen, says, “The most significant threat to our national security is our debt,” hard measures must be taken.
