Where are the Jobs Mr. President?
In December, President Obama spent over half the month vacationing on the island of Oahu. The month also saw the weakest job growth since the start of 2011 with only 74,000 jobs added.
You will hear the Mainstream Media mention that the unemployment rate has fallen (for the first time since November of 2008) below 7 percent to 6.7 percent. This is NOT good news. In the month of December while President Obama hit the links and ran along the sandy beaches of Hawaii, 347,000 people gave up their search for employment and only 143,000 additional people reported having a job. The percentage of people who have completely given up looking for employment out of frustration remained unchanged last month at 13.1 percent.
When we talk about these bleak numbers, it’s important to remember these aren’t just statistics, these are people who have been devastated by the utter failure of liberal policies over the course of the Obama presidency. For so many, the holiday season this year was one of despair, hurt and frustration. It is for those people, the ones that have been forgotten by the President and his liberal allies, that we MUST continue to fight for conservative principles. With the midterm elections this year, we must elect men and women to the House and Senate that will not ever lose sight of what’s important and what’s right.
