CITIZENS UNITED SUPPORTS “CUT, CAP, AND BALANCE” PLAN BY RSC CHAIRMAN JIM JORDAN

Washington, DC – Today Citizens United President David N. Bossie issued the following statement in support of the “Cut, Cap, and Balance” plan by Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH).

“Citizens United fully endorses the Republican Study Committee’s ‘Cut, Cap, and Balance’ debt ceiling plan,” said David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United. “America is at a crossroads where the status quo will only worsen America’s debt crisis. President Obama cannot turn a blind eye anymore to a debt crisis that will put future generations of Americans in peril. The ‘Cut, Cap, and Balance’ plan will cut the deficit in half by next year, cap spending at 18 percent of Gross Domestic Product, and send a Balanced Budget Amendment to the states for ratification. This is a real plan for success, and a step in the right direction when it comes to fiscal discipline. President Obama has been in office for two-and-a-half years without really addressing this serious issue. I hope all members of the Republican Conference sign onto the ‘Cut, Cap, and Balance’ plan. ”
