Obama & Project Vote: The ACORN Doesn’t Fall Far From The Tree
President Obama’s campaign today launched “Project Vote” to increase registration amongst Democrat-friendly demographic groups. The Obama campaign wants to “expand the electorate” for the upcoming 2012 race. One problem with the name “Project Vote” – it shares the same title as a 501 (c) (3) also called Project Vote which worked closely with the now-defunct ACORN – the same ACORN that was riddled with fraud and rocked by scandal back in 2009 and eventually had its federal funding yanked. Project Vote was also the subject of a FOIA request just last week from the organization Judicial Watch investigating potential suspicious coordination with Obama’s Justice Department.
The Obama Administration has been inept since Day One, but the Obama Campaign ran a great race in 2008 that successfully sold Americans on a hype that turned out to be a bunch of lies. For the Obama Campaign to name a major part of their 2012 effort after an ACORN affiliate just shows how the ineptness of the Obama Administration has filtered down to the 2012 campaign. I guess it is not that much of a coincidence since Obama did work for Project Vote as a community organizer. The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree.
